I enjoy getting to know people of all ages and teaching them about their Savior.  My wife Stephanie and I have three boys, Micah, Jacob, and Zachary. I enjoy going to the beach, golfing, hiking, camping, cooking, eating New York Pizza, and spending time as a family. 

I was ordained in 1971, and I have served as a pastor for 5 different churches in Iowa, Florida, and Michigan. In my retirement, I have enjoyed providing music for Redeemer. I have been active as a music teacher and performer for my entire adult life, with over 30 concerts on organ and piano. My principle instructors were Mable Guess, Roger Davis, and Huw Lewis.  I am featured in three CDs produced during the Tulip Time Festival Organ Concerts (Holland, MI). I hold the CAGO certificate of the American Guild of Organists, and I am a member (and past dean) of their Treasure Coast Chapter. I am also a member of the Association of Lutheran Church Musicians. I enjoy composing music, playing tennis, running, reading, mentoring at-risk teenagers and trading options in the stock market. I have been married for 57 years to my high school sweetheart, Judy.  We have two daughters, Laurie and Jill, and two wonderful grandchildren, Mackenzie and Mason.  

I have lived in Florida since February of 2022, after moving here from Central Illinois.  I enjoy being with people and love to be able to help others. I like being outdoors and doing some gardening—both flowers and vegetables, and learning the many differences between gardening in Illinois and Florida. I am also a big fan of the St Louis Cardinals. I have been married to Ray for 52 years, and I have 4 children and 2 granddaughters.
